Why North Point is Here

North Point began with a vision to be a community of faith that reaches out in love and service to our community and beyond. We continue to be motivated by the gracious love of God, who reached out to us with forgiveness and reconciliation through Jesus his Son. We have discovered that when we follow Jesus, we begin a faith journey that transforms our lives now and points us towards an amazing future when God will make all things new and we will finally become the people God created us to be.

The “now” part of transformation is not just about our personal life; it is also about transforming the culture around us—living now as we will live in the new creation by working for justice, creating beauty, seeking truth and living with love and compassion for our neighbor.

We want to share this Good News in word and deed with our community, and beyond, so that as many as possible may begin the journey of following Jesus. We believe that most people are aware that things are not as they should be in the world and in their personal lives. But they don’t know what to do about it or which way to go. That is where the church comes in. Our mission is to make God’s love real to people who are spiritually seeking. We want them to find new life in Jesus and then prepare them for a full and meaningful life of worshipping and serving God. To that end, we believe that we are better together. A supportive community of likeminded people is essential to spiritual growth through all the stages of our life.

So, we’re here not because we think we’re perfect and have all the answers, but because God has revealed himself to us in Jesus. Jesus not only puts a human face on God, he also shows us what it means to live a purposeful and satisfying human life.
