Building ProjectDear Friends, Our journey towards construction of a church building in order to serve God more effectively has proved to be quite an adventure for North Point! During the past three years we have researched and developed a three-phased plan for a church campus; we have made pledges towards the project; we have secured a building permit from the city of Poulsbo; we have selected a builder and bid the project, and we have earnestly sought financing during the most difficult lending time most of us can remember. As the financing plan has taken shape, with a combination of a bank loan and debenture sales, the session and I are very aware of the challenge before us. We have created a pro forma document which outlines the costs of ministry over the next several years, basing our plan on an estimated growth in attendance and giving. The numbers are challenging but achievable, and I believe that North Point is ready for the challenge. I urge everyone to be faithful in giving, in prayer and in service. This great project will not allow us to remain on cruise control; we will need to hit the accelerator. If we simply follow Paul’s advice to the Corinthians, we will be successful: “Remember this – a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. For God loves a person who gives cheerfully. And God will generously provide all you need. The you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.” 2 Corinthians 9:6-8 (NLT) More InformationFunding Request (pdf) 5 Year Budget Assumptions (pdf) 5 Year Budget (pdf) Commitment Letter (pdf)
